Musical Tots Play

• Children have the opportunity to be creative-through music making, movement and craft activities linked to the weekly theme.
• Toddlers can begin to join in rhymes, develop language skills and increase vocabulary, whilst having fun.
• The children will build up a collection of props to support rhymes as well as creating their own rhyme book.

Discover and Play

• Learning through exploratory, heuristic, discovery and investigative play.
• Encourages sensory experiences through touch, smell, taste, sound and sight, as well as physical body movement and balance.
• Children can spontaneously explore and gain understanding from natural and everyday objects.
• Encourages parents to get involved in their child's play and develop children's self-concept and self esteem.
• Informative visitors from a range of professions on a regular basis (e.g. Speech Therapist, Dental Educator, Book Start)

Stay and Play

• The focus of this session is to provide activities and opportunities for parents to have fun with their child and encourage learning through play from birth to 4 years.
• There is a charge of 50p per family each session.
• Through the session we provide free play, craft activities, snack time and physical activities - action songs, music and movement.
• We have links with nurseries on both sites and make regular visits to help with the transition into nursery.
• Parents have opportunities throughout the year to buy craft resources at a reasonable cost fro Pre-School Learning Alliance.
• Within the session parents and children can choose from a variety of toys from the toy and book library - cost £1 per year, 25p per loan.
• Two sessions available
  Wednesday - Mountbatten School Mobile 9:15-11:15am
  Thursday - Wansbeck School 9:00-11:00am

Tumble and Play- Learning and development through play

• Promotes the physical development in children 18 months to 2½ years (approx.) through play and movement.
• Encourages/helps to develop gross motor skills and socialisation skills.
• Provides a range of activities each week including, soft play, ball pool, assault course, songs with actions.
• Provides opportunities to meet other parents/carers in the community and make new friends.
• Offer support and advice for parents/carers in the community, in a friendly and informal play environment.

Creche

In the creche we provide a facility where young children are cared for whilst on the same premises as their parents.

We provide a safe stimulating and fun environment for your children. Acknowledging the importance of learning through play we ensure that the activities we provide are as varied as possible.

The creche is open to any child of a suitable age regardless of sex, race, religion or disability.
